Basically this is an ad spot exchange between blogs.  You make a 125 
pixel square ad.  The exchange sucks in that you get only 1/4 of the 
ad credits you earn to spend on ads to appear on other blogs.  
However you can quickly earn more credits by visiting other entrecard 
blogs (1 credit per visit).  I don't necessarily recomend them but 
the ad did cause some traffic (200 unique hits in two weeks) when I 
put it on the right sort of blog.  I have yet to see whether any of 
this caused sales let alone the 20 sales minimum I want to justify 
the time and trouble.

There is a similar service called spottt that seems a better deal 
giving 1/2 of the ads back to you.  But with no control over where 
ads were I had things on my blog I didn't want (violent blogs etc) 
and I bet some places didn't want my stuff (erotica, gay etc).  In 
the end I got almost no clicks from them (9 in two weeks).

Other things I tried that generated *not a single click* include 
listing at authorsden and red room, listing at blog directories, 
using forum signiture links and avatars.

I got a few links from other blogs either mentioning me or swapping 
cover spots--and of course from google.
