I think, if you can, offer a free chapter and then get them to purchase the rest of the book if interested. 
 
Unless you truly don't care about e-book sales, doesn't make sense to give it away.
 
Give just enough to get them interested.
 
One site that you could also try is http://www.freebookexcerpts.com/ 
 
They cater to those wanting to actually sell their books instead of just giving them away, whether paper or electronic.
