I may have annoyed them a little when I objected to having these offers 
sent to be uninvited, although they were gracious about it.  But 
promotion easily becomes its evil twin sister, spam.  And for me an 
unsolicited email for a fee-charging RT ad opportunity is in that box--
even when well meant and actually a subsidised cost.

At this point I have heard from several ebook writers who took joint RT 
ads and didn't feel they were hitting their readership.  You pay about 
3-5c per reader and if only a small percent will even consider ebooks 
of any type that makes it a bit dubious in my book.
