Romantic Times Magazine. It's the largest of the three magazines I
might consider advertising in, on any given month I have the extra
money.

HOWEVER, they have a specific readership and guidelines about what
they will or will not review. Typically, they offer a review for a
single-author ad of any size or 5 reviews for a full-page ad or
advertorial spread. If there are twelve books in the full-page ad
space, only 5 of them are getting reviews. Now, you're not purchasing
a "good review," so I don't look on this as buying a review...more
like buying more marketing, since you get two mentions for the book in
the issue...the ad and the review...or...if you're really lucky...the
ad in one month and the review in another month, like me this
spring/summer. I got an ad in the May issue, but the review worked out
so that it won't hit until July. Double the investment for me, since
it gets my book before the readers a couple of months apart. To boot,
the advertorial I was in in May turned out to be a couple of HQ
Nocturne books, St Martin's, Dorchester and my Mundania title. If that
doesn't say "Worthy as anything out of NY," I don't know what does.

Back to the reasons RT is not for every romance title... They are very
selective about reviewing ANY GLBT. To date, I only know of a couple
they have reviewed, even if the authors did place ads, so it's not all
that worthwhile for a GLBT book, even if it is romance. It's also not
all that worthwhile to do an RT ad for a short story, unless you have
high expectations of earning a couple hundred bucks on that short
story in short order...and I believe that RT has some new restrictions
on how short a story they are willing to review? I'm more likely to
make that on an e-published novel in a month than an e-published
short, at any rate. Shrug.

Fairy Dreams is the best bar none fantasy romance that I have ever
read! The action is non-stop; the deep abiding love so well portrayed
that you feel as though you are experiencing it yourself. Regina for
