I would note that Blaze is a Harlequin imprint which is still a horse 
but certainly of a different hue.  

Harlequin has, belatedly, started to colonize the erotic and paranormal 
subgenres with Blaze and Nocturne and is epublishing these imprints in 
a reasonably sensible way including novella and shost stories abailable 
onyl as e-books.  However I would note that I read only one Blaze and 
found it tame and very badly edited.  Within two consequetive pages the 
heroine's cup contained cocoa, coffee and "coca".  The sexy scenes 
would not count as erotica from my point of view but might for reader 
not used to hotter stuff.

Mills and Boon is doing the same as Harlequin but slower and not as 
well.  I am beginning to wonder if they prefer to lean on international 
markets rather than make the generational shift required to appeal to 
young Brits.
