Re: Paul Krugman holds forth on the future of publishing

I am perfectly okay to pay an author the amount of hours he spent  
writing his book. Just like a teacher is paid the amount of hours he  
will teach.

That means how much for JK Rowling?

That means how much for you?

But the, the books would have to become public domain.

Why in hell would authors get paid after they obtained the fair amount  
of money they deserve for the number of hours they worked?
