Neither. Use an open, standardized format such as OEB or HTML.

Don't offer refunds. Instead, price your product so inexpensively that 
if a buyer finds that it is not worth the purchase price s/he will 
simply chalk it up to experience and not purchase anything else from you 
in the future.

Of course, the desire for refunds can be minimized or eliminated by 
simply offering enough of the product for free (sample chapters, etc.) 
that an eventual purchaser will only have herself to blame if she made a 
bad purchasing decision.
