RE: Paul Krugman holds forth on the future of publishing

If you are talking information, I can understand that argument, though I don't wholeheartedly agree.
 
Even some authors of informational type e-books tell you up front you can find the same thing by searching their site or the internet for free.
 
What they are charging for is they have compiled the information for you for your convenience and are charging you for this convenience. 
 
Most people don't have a problem with that except the cheap people who refuse to pay for anything if at all possible anyway.
But creative work? No.

I think you're all mis-understanding the position of the "info wantsto be free" crowd.
