One should also add that most LP editions cost more than the regular  
ones as well, whereas Kindle books cost less.

My DH has been frustrated trying to read ebooks in the past, so two  
weeks ago he bought a Kindle after I mentioned I was starting to give  
in to temptation. (I have to wait till my birthday in January for  
mine, but I have borrowing rights as needed). He's read more in the  
week and a half since he got it than in all the ten years we've been  
married. Specifically, he's reading books in their entirety, whereas  
before he'd quit at some point in the middle.

Now, of course, he also has eReader on his iPhone (Thanks, Scott and  
Steve!!), which he also finds comfortable to read on. The main issue  
with the iPhone, of course, being the battery doesn't last as long as  
the Kindle's.

And our Kindle sales have grown steadily since it came out. Most of  
our available titles were moved over from Mobipocket, although I've  
added a few directly because I can do that from my Mac whereas I have  
to mess with the Windoze box to convert to Mobi.
