At least the Kindleconversion.com site is honest enough to say you can do it
yourself without having to pay them. 

 

Of course, they are also very subtlety suggesting that you’ll probably goof
it up which is why they are offering to do it for you – for a fee of course.

 

Unless you have and want to spend the money, I would suggest you go the
Amazon Kindle Authors and Publishers section and see for yourself what is
involved. Many people are able to do it themselves with little hassle. Not
to mention there are free DIY guides on the web through a Google search.

 

I have nothing against paying for services that are outside my field of
expertise, but some things are nowhere near as hard as some people would
have you believe.

Hi All,

I'm brand new to the group and ebook publishing. I have a book 
currently selling on Amazon being printed POD with LSI. I am looking 
to make the book available in ebook format. 

I've decided to start with Kindle and as I learn more explore other 
reader formats.

My question is that I've had 3 companies suggested for the formatting 
process:

Can anyone in this group personally recommend any of these companies 
and if not, can anyone recommend a service they have personally used 
and had a good experience.

Of course I can read the testimonials and I have, but being new to 
all this, I'd like something a little more concrete and credible.
