No reason to limit yourself to just Palm or Windows Mobile.

There are a number of alternatives either out now or coming soon. For
instance, the iPhone/iPod Touch has eReader and readers for unencrypted
Mobipocket and ePub. Rumor has it that there will be an official encrypted
Mobipocket client out "by the end of the year." (Though there are other
means for dealing with encrypted Mobipocket files until then, of course.) I
have an iPod Touch and I'm quite happy with it.

And if some of what you might hear about Apple's behavior toward some apps
puts you off that, Google's Android phones are just starting to come out,
and will perhaps offer a viable alternative once people have had time to get
apps out for them.
