OT: Near miss today

Cell phones and driving don't mix.
Might as well be driving drunk.

Today a woman in an SUV looked right at me, then pulled out in front
of me anyway.
I guess she belatedly realized what she'd done, 'cuz she gave it the
gas to clear the intersection and plunged right into the side of
another SUV. I zipped by a few inches behind her, parked the bike on
the sidewalk, and went back to see if anyone was hurt.

Found her yammering a panicky description of recent events to someone,
still on her effing cell phone. I had an urge to grab that damned
phone and jam it into her runny mouth sideways, then hammer it *deep*.

When I looked into the other SUV, the guy was poking numbers on his
cell phone, prob'ly 911.

I know jammers are illegal, but I don't care. That illegality is just
a result of big phone corporations paying off some politicians.
I'm now looking for a portable jammer that'll run off 12v current and
keep those damned phones from working within a hundred feet of my bike.
