Let me point out that neither Mr. Smith nor Mr. Rothman used the word 
"censorship" in their posts. It seems to me that the point of both these 
articles was to belittle Apple for its stupidity and self-righteousness, 
not to call for any governmental action (or to oppose any governmental 
action).

Certainly it is the right of each and every vendor to conduct their 
business according to the dictates of their conscience (or to attempt to 
pander to the perceived notions of the morality of their customers). 
Likewise, it is the right of we consumers to ridicule these vendors when 
we find these business practices to be self-righteous or self-serving.

I don't think these foolish standards would keep me from patronizing the 
App Store, but it has diminished its reputation slightly in my eyes.

Your apparent sensitivity to the notion of "censorship" is your issue, 
not theirs.
