Often the most mundane things we do can have a big impact if we knew how
they affected the environment. Something as mundane as reading a good
book can make a difference depending on how that book was produced. The
traditional book business uses a model of overproduction that leads to
large quantities of unsold inventory which translates into huge amounts
of wasted resources involved in paper production. New technology exists
that all but eliminates that issue with any effect on the quality of the
book itself.
