  Since I'm totally new to ebooks, I
checked out some ebook programs.  Only one responded to my questions--
ebookstarter.com.  Is anyone familiar with this software?  The
advertisement states that  it helps create, publish and market ones
ebook.  There are so many different advertisers of such software that it
becomes bewildering as to which one to try.  Any suggestions would be

Most people who think of ebooks immediately think of pdf. Ebooks are capable of
so much more than a static document. There is some prejudice against exes. I
remember one person commenting he/she didn't download exe books because
there so full of viruses. I asked how the person knew this if he/she never
downloaded them. I never got a response.

Exes will keep out the mac people unless they use the windows program built
into macs to run it. You may consider multiple formats or even just an encrypted
html to help keep the honest folks honest. Too much protection turns off readers
and cuts down on repeat sales
