Sorry, but Library books are not free.

Most states finance libraries with tax money.

I'm from Indiana. I live out in a rural township.  Our tax money does 
not go to pay for library services.

Back in 1955, I got a library card for my birthday.  It cost $1 a year 
then.  A few years ago, the price jumped up to $150 a year.

So I switched small town libraries. (One is five miles from my home, 
the other 7 miles away.)

Right now, I get most of my books online.  The Gutenberg project 
provides me with free books...if you don't consider connect charges or 
the yearly cost of operating a computer.

Or the cost of an eBook reader.

Is anything free?  Air?  I need to inhale regularly which means keeping 
my body fed and in working order.  Which certainly isn't free.
