I believe that anything that helps justify the existence of ebooks is a good thing. I have faces so much hatred from POD supporters because I recommend ebooks to upcoming poets so that they can build a platform and in the case of DNL sell multi-media CD at their readings that is not funny. To me it is a no brainer. For young upcoming poets and authors who have no platform and no real market yet still want to have their words read while attempting to make a few bucks so that they can eat a little bit better or put some gas in their car need ebooks. Blank paper is worth nothing and many publishers believe that the words of a poet are worth nothing because the writer's market tell us that poetry does not sell. Yet still POD'ers Feel that their product is the best and only way to go. So if the blank paper is worth nothing and the authors words are worth nothing the only thing that gives it value is their ink which many of them charge an arm and a leg for. I really don't get it! How is it that poetry does not sell when every song produced since the beginning of time has lyrics and lyrics are nothing more than poems put to music.
