Beginner

Hi and thanks for letting me join the group!
I'm ready to upload my first 
Ebook, and would appreciate any/all tips. 
On which sites should I sell it?
Amazon, Alibris (Ebay?)?
 
Are there any other sites that allow you to sell an ebook for a reasonable commision on their end?
 
Also, which formats in addition to pdf?
If there is any other info that would be helpful to a 1st-timer, 
it would be very much appreciated.
