I agree with you on all of the points above, Joseph. By sitting tight,  
I didn't mean to suggest that we not discuss the issue, but that we  
shouldn't change the laws on orphan works until we see the impact of  
some of the current convulsions. Too many changes at once can end up  
with some pretty unexpected results.

(Um, why yes, that IS the voice of experience you hear. Patience is a  
lesson I've only partially learned, and that came the hard way.)
