I read it, but perhaps not very carefully. I certainly didn't get that  
out of it, but then again, I respect you enough that I wouldn't have  
thought you'd mean that the publisher had anything to do with how  
Amazon chose to respond.

Blaming the victim of the original theft for complaining about it is  
undoubtedly occurring, but it assumes something very unlikely. I  
suspect, but don't know, that they sent a take-down letter, and Amazon  
took it from there.
