Sad thing is, if you clip coupons, saving $1.50/week on your groceries
(a whopping $6/month) buys a 3 day subscription to the newspaper... at
least it does to mine. We don't even read the darn thing most of the
time. I take the coupons out and pile the rest for fire starting
material for the winter. That's the city paper and its mostly useless
except for coupons.
The tiny local paper covering only our rural county, I subscribe to
($30/yr) and read cover to cover every week even though the news is
days old when it arrives. Such is the value of good local coverage. I
can tell you which county supervisor is an asshole (hint: the one
running for state rep) and which girl scout recently saved her
father's life in a choking incident.
I read the NYT online everyday...
dej, who would pay for it if she had to, but the NYT finds they make
more money from ads, meager as they are...
