Update on shameless plea for donations to the eBook Community

To all TeBC Subscribers:

A few days ago I asked for $1 or $2 PayPal donations to help defray
the cost in holding the domain name 'ebookcommunity.org'. This domain
is now primarily used to provide access to the complete TeBC archive,
and in the future the web site might be useful to TeBC in other ways.

Several people (list below) immediately sent in donations to the
cause, which I am more than grateful for, especially in that a few of
the donations were for more than $1 or $2! In total, I have so far
received about $60, which I will use to extend the domain name
registration. I hope to do this in a few days once I update my PayPal
account to transfer funds. I will let TeBC know when I do the
extension and for how many years (which will be seen in the "whois"
record, the current one of which I've attached at the end of this
message.)

I was debating whether to reveal the list of donators, but decided to
do this since it is a way to assure transparency for all concerned
since we are dealing with money. If you donated but don't see your
name on the list, let me know!

Now, if you did not donate, then do not feel guilty! However, if you
do have a slight twinge of guilt, I ask that you avidly contribute to
the ongoing discussion on TeBC, and start new discussion threads.

The vitality of the TeBC group depends upon subscribers to become
active discussion participants, and domain name registration extension
is a moot point if no one contributes to discussion!

If you do wish to donate a few bucks to the domain fund, please do so
within the next two days before I actually pay for the time extension.
