Not library, not borrowing a copy purchased years earlier. Beth was
talking about a course-pack, where the campus bookstore copies
chapters and sells the copies to the students. This is normal, but
requires the store to get permission from the rightsholder, usually at
a couple of cents per page, per copy.
Our Copyright Clearance Center makes that possible on a widespread
basis.
But, to do that, the rightsholder has to register, and they have to be
known.
NO copyshop is going to violate the Kinko's case ruling. It's waaaay
too expensive if you're caught, as Kinko's was.
