Don't over-estimate the power of the Sony reader.  It isn't in the same
league as Kindle.  And the new device will be no different in that regard.

At Kindle I have over 3500 titles for sale, including hundreds that are the
complete works of classic authors in a single file selling for just 99 cents
(Jane Austen, Mark Twain, Charles Dickens, Shakespeare, etc.)

At Sony I have over 5000 titles for sale, but because of the format they
chose (and are forever wedded to), they simply can't handle large files.  So
with the exception of the Jane Austen (which is relatively small), they do
not offer any of my multi-book files.  There you have to buy each individual
book for 99 cents -- which is far more expensive, and far less convenient.
