copyright contract templates for 21st century

The UK government looks as though it is again leading the way on copyright. This PDF http://www.ipo.gov.uk/c-strategy-digitalage.pdf is a precursor to some model copyright contracts. The pdf itself is an invaluable reference with some historical information.

There are variations in the detail of UK law and particular reference is made in this paper to the EU. However, the major part of Intellectual Property law is international.

Probably the chief difference between the UK and America is the fair dealing [fair use] provisions. These have different geneses, but similar effects.
