I think I know what you are saying, Sandi. What you are talking about is "hyperlinking text." You can do this in Word. You highlight (click and drag) over the text you want to link, and then go up to the Edit menu (I think! Word has changed its look) and choose "Add Hyperlink." You will then type in the URL that you want for the link.
