Basically, because the unit cost of printing a single book each 
time versus a print run, it is likely that it will be too expensive.

I was keen on the idea of print on demand, but there is no shortage 
of companies ready to take your money because the vast majority
of people who do it sell so few this way.

I have a book on Amazon eBooks (Kindle store). 
Is there a way to work with a one-off printing company so people can order a hardcopy on Amazon, pay through Amazon or paypal, and have the order go to a one-off printer who will print and mail the order and then I pay the printer?
