I earn supplemental income from my two ebooks: http://www.soapcrone.com/ebook.php I market them by joining soaping groups on Yahoo, and participating in those groups. On Ad days, I place ads for my books. Because of my participation in the group, I sell books because I have presented myself in the groups as an expert. In addition to the groups, I have begun writing articles for Saponifier magazine, which is the premier soapers magazine. These are paid articles (not very much, but they are paid), and at the end of the articles I can put my information and links like so: "Amy Kalinchuk has written and published two books on soap making <link> and sells her soap at local farmer's markets. She is launching a new publishing project, Craft e-Revolution <link> in the Fall of 2010." The articles have driven a lot of traffic to my site, and I appear like an expert because I write articles for pay about the subject. In January, I made almost $500 from ebook sales. In February, I am approaching $400, and that's without a magazine article. Regarding your "head of household" comment: It is my plan to become self-employed from publishing the ebooks of others, at my new project. Please have a look, and if you think writing a craft book is up your alley, feel free to pitch it to me through the website "submissions" portal. Hope this helps, Amy http://www.crafte-revolution.com --- In [email protected], "yolantha07" <yolanthapace@...> wrote: > > I am brand new to the notion of the eBook. How does this process work? How does one make money with an eBook. Is anyone getting rich or earning head of household or even supplemental income with the eBook phenomena? Is there an eBook for dummies website that you could recommend? I'm looking for some success stories and some eBooker beware strategies. > > Thanks in advance > Yolantha > ------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------ Post a message: ebook-community [[at]] * Unsubscribe: ebook-community-unsubscribe [[at]] * Switch to digest: ebook-community-digest [[at]] * Switch to normal: ebook-community-normal [[at]] * Put mail on hold: ebook-community-nomail [[at]] * Administrator: ebook-community-owner [[at]] * (* == yahoogroups.com) -------------------------------------------------------Yahoo!
