The best advice I've seen for this is 'don't sweat it'.

There are thieves in every age. Digital format makes it easy for them; but then it makes it easy for us too.

Maybe you should do some seo work, to get your site pages for your books high on the search engines. Make sure either your own selling links, or those of the most advantageous sellers, are on those pages.

If it is a limited audience you can probably create some standing warnign that the digital book is a pirated version. On the other hand why not sell your own digital version at the pirate prices, and use their keywords - i.e. make use of their expertise ;-).

Even if you do none of these things, of course you should write your third book. Your expertise is clearly recognised; overall sales make it clear there is a market worth developing; and to turn to something else would waste all the goodwill you are building.

The balance of time you put to all this is a matter for you.
