Smashwords warns that books loaded with an ISBN will sometimes show a
totally different one on the reseller sites. That one is not a dodge, though
I can't figure out why they'd want to do that. At least Amazon is only
putting their own internal number on it and not an ISBN. THAT, I understand.


It could be a dodge to confuse readers and confuse you when looking for
pirates. It could be an honest error...someone grabbed the wrong ISBN from
the database or there were two books with the same title but different
authors and ISBNs or something. I can't tell, since I can't see what you're
seeing when I look for that ISBN. Good luck.
