That cadre of early adopters is fairly large, compared to the number
who've bought mobile devices specifically for ebooks.

I'm basing it on the visible results of a number of ebook surveys. And
I misspoke--I shouldn't have said "the majority read on computers,"
but "more read on computers than anything else."

Desktop/Laptop is by far the most common, with 1836 clicks, followed
by iPhone at 650 & Kindle at 527.

The Kindle has market dominance *in the US, among people willing to
spend $300 on a device just for ebooks.* It lags far behind the
desktop & cellphone as a preferred device for ebook reading.
