The first is blog which summarises. The answer is not obvious, but not expected. The second gives greater detail. the picture is one to disturb digital users. I could not see any assessment of the energy use over the production and distribution of the ebook itself; a difficult one, but nothetheless significant - as are the production consequences of the distribution of the digits round the world.
At the same time I saw no assessment of the book industry costs of distribution in green terms. Correct me if I missed any of that. A useful read.
