ISBN question

When I went to Bowker to update my ISBNs-used list, I found what looked like duplication of my listings using different ISBNs.
Two ISBN entries for each title.
I hit 'edit' and found SONY had put its own ISBNs on my ebooks.
As far as I can tell from looking at a few entries, I'm still listed as the Publisher.
So why'd they blow a stack of their shiny new ISBNs on my stuff?
