means then they should carry a dictionary.

Subject: [ebook-community] A first for me

Wowsers.
Today I received my very first private email complaining at length about the
number of lesbian and bisexual female characters in my "3rd World Products"
and "In Service to a Goddess" books.

I've been scribbling this stuff for over a decade and nobody else has
complained about anything except a preacher who found my titles on a church
computer, put there by his own kid, I think. They were commercial Treeless
Press versions (yeah, that long ago), so the kid either bought them with
daddy's credit card or hacked the DRM.

At any rate, the lady who emailed the complaint was very upset.
I haven't replied yet. I don't know what to say to her, if anything.
She says she got the books through one of my online retailers, so if she
decides she wants a refund, that would be their business.

Besides, she apparently read all the books before emailing me and those
les/bi characters appear early and often in those series. If she truly
objected so strenuously, why didn't she stop with book one of each series?

Should I put some kind of "Caution! Lesbians!" warning on the books? I
thought "Must be 18" or "Erotic content" was enough.
Sigh.
I think I'll just use a generic "Thanks for your comment" reply with this
one. Make it look like an autoreply. Hope she goes away. Tag any of her
future harangues as spam.
After all, I can't magically make her un-read the stuff.

Has anyone else here had a similar customer experience?
If so, how did you handle it?
How would you handle it?
