I once had a teenager write and ask me to make my works less racy  
because she and her 12 yr old sister both loved them, but she had to  
read the out loud to her sister to edit out the racy parts. My  
response was, "I'm glad you both love my work, but these stories are  
written for grown-ups and will continue to have adults-only content.  
perhaps you should wait until your sister is old enough for adult  
content or try books by XYZ which are written for children." You can't  
please everyone all the time.

Perhaps the best answer is, "Not every book is right for every reader.  
I'm really sorry that you aren't comfortable with lesbian/bi  
characters. Please have a nice day."
