In the case of an e-book with DRM making a copy involves defeating encryption and it is against the law. I never said it wasn't illegal. I said it wasn't stealing. Running a red light is against the law but it isn't stealing. Neither is making a copy of an encrypted book.

I'm trying not to continue this overly emotional discussion but you guys keep twisting what I said and it's hard not to try to set it straight.

What I'm not doing is trying to offend anyone. That isn't the way I participate in forums. I'm trying, or I was trying to make the terminology in the discussion a little more precise. Obviously I'm not succeeding.
