Brenna Thank you for commenting on my post on the Global eBook Awards. We are redrafting some of the website verbiage to make paragraphs clearer. We list other award programs including EPICs. See http://awardsforebooks.com/resources/#eBook-Awards Authors and publishers should apply for as many awards as appropriate to their eBook in order to get maximum exposure. We would never suggest applicants favor one award program over another. We believe the time has come to provide publicity to all categories of eBooks. EPICs categories are mostly variations on erotica, romance, and other fiction. The nonfiction is small and not categorized. See http://www.epicauthors.com/epicwinners2011.html eBooks may be entered in the Global eBook Awards by their authors, publishers, publicists, illustrators or other interested parties. The eBook must be published and offered for sale online. Entries must cite a URL where the book is listed. That may be the authors website, Amazon.com, etc. On receipt, the screening judges will check the entry for quality, completeness, and suitability. The judges support the First Amendment but books considered obnoxious by the general public (kiddie porn, etc.) will not be accepted. Applicants will be notified when their eBook is accepted into nomination. The book will be listed on the Awards website by category as Nominated. The nomination page will list the title, author, publisher, category, and the URL listed by the applicant so that people can find the book on the Internet. Applicants will be issued Nomination stickers that may be used in promoting their eBook. What makes the Global eBook Awards different is that the program is publicity oriented. See the partial list on the Benefits page. http://awardsforebooks.com/resources/#eBook-Awards Thank you for helping us to make the Award Rules clearer.
