Ads in magazines that match the genre/s of the book/s. For instance, a LOCUS
ad for SF/F books. I can afford an ad in REALMS OF FANTASY, but LOCUS is a
little beyond my means most days.  Ask around, and you'll certainly find out
what magazines are most sought after for the different genres. Be sure to
tell entrants which magazines will be carrying the ads before entry.

A professional book trailer by a company like Circle of Seven Productions?
Sure. I'd go there. You'd have to set a limit on things like features and
length, of course, but it could be done.

Promo packages for winners... Spotlighting on sites that cater to the genre
of the book. Maybe registration at genre conventions or local conventions...

I'm not saying to do all of these things, but I'd consider these sorts of
promo as interesting to win, at least.

I'd also like to know how the contest will be judged...peer-judged,
reader-judged, how many rounds, how the judges are selected/qualifications,
etc.
