I find the same thing personally, but others that didn't cultivate FW first
(as I did...I was on FW back when they and one or two others were ALL there
was for one-stop shopping for ebooks) and came into the different sites
concurrently with FW or before FW (since you can't currenty get new
publishers listed there) seem to find the opposite is true.

It already exists. It's called ARe/OmniLit. They are more industry-minded
than any other system I know, bar none. Their terms, considerations of
authors and publishers, and their industry service (teaching about ebooks at
conventions, offering download cards for certain industry events like RT
Convention, compiling and sharing breakdowns of sales trends...I've shared
them here) are the reasons why they are winners of EPIC's Friend of
ePublishing Award.

ARe/O TAKES NY Conglomerate books, when they are uploaded by their
publishers or filter on via LSI feeds to ARe/O. HQ books are there, but most
of the other Big 6 pulled over agency model gripes, and ARe/O is still in
talks with them to get them back on the site. If they don't choose to, the
heck with them. They don't need to take advantage of a good thing.

BTW, ARe/OmniLit nearly matches my sales on Fictionwise and far outstrips my
sales from B&N Nook and Amazon Kindle and Apple's iBookstore COMBINED.
Shrug. Just what I see.
