[And interesting question, with an answer that is probably right online, if ebook prices continue to be held down. One might simply say it is a return to serialisation by an ephemeral medium; but that goes into the issue of whether the net is simply a new medium or a whole new system - and I wouldn't want to start that one ;-)]
