You bet we would. I have. I gave them my readerbait freebies, but if Google releases anything else of mine that I haven't willingly provided them, I'll sue.

Tripe and drivel. Scare tactic.
We all know they'll scan *everything* anyway. Legalities will hinder only Google-branded releases of those scans.

Oh, boo-hoo, we holdouts are preventing an all-consuming giant e-amoeba from pursuing its urge to absorb -- and become the de facto and/or 'official' source and controller of -- all the published materials in the world.
Future selective access and inclusions and unannounced editing and 'corrections' to 'official' versions would be the next step.

I don't trust giant amoebas.
