I would appreciate some help with two formatting questions for the
Kindle.
1. I know that the Kindle gives me two or three blank spaces for
every one paragraph space in the Word original. I can sometimes solve
that problem by inserting 1½ lines between the two lines of text.
That works only if there is no text above that first line of text.
Otherwise, it gives me 1½ lines between all the lines of text above
as well. Is the solution somewhere in the Word> Format> Paragraph>
Styles menu? I just don't see the solution.
2. Also I'm seeing a number of areas in the KTP preview mode where,
even though the first line indent is set to 'first line indent 0.3',
the rest of that sentence is also indented. The consistency is that
it appears where people are speaking so the next sentence is similar
in length. The rest of that sentence also jumps to 'first line indent
0.3' even though it should be flush left. I don't see that happening
with longer blocks of text even though the settings in Word are the
same. I hope I have provided a clear explanation of the problem.
