Is Amazon Good or Bad For Small Businesses?

[The Amazon effect looked at from another angle. Sales tax and VAT  
issues are going to be driven to the front of this discussion and into 
the political arena. In some places, for example, VAT is over 20%.  I am 
sure in parts of the US sales taxes are high. Amazon must be lobbying 
hard to delay online taxing at federal level.]
