Google Records Show Book Scanning Was Aimed At Amazon

points from a new court filing from the Author's Guild. This includes 
that 8 million books in copyright have been scanned by Google, and 
claims that the scanning was an "overtly" commercial matter, and not 
"fair use". Judge Denny Chin hopes to end this long-running matter on
