YES and YES

I was a fool and purchased DRM books from Amazon before the Kindle.
Remember Mobipocket?  They were purchased by Amazon.

And everything was fine until the day they turned the server off.  And
my library became useless.  Any they told me "too bad, so sad" and
offered a one time coupon for 10% off to repurchase everything.

I didn't repurchase a damn thing.  Yep I'm one of those evil DRM
cracking pirates.  I realized that authors think they are entitled to
have me repurchase a few hundred dollars worth of books every few
years when corporations get bought out or the DRM changes.  I don't
believe it.

I purchase ebooks.  I don't rent ebooks for a purchase price. DRM
ebooks are rental ebooks that the seller is passing off (lying) as a
purchase.  If you are renting the book, be honest and price it as a
rental.  

I buy a lot of ebooks, none of them with DRM.  As a filter it works
rather well, since I don't have a problem finding good honest authors.

I am a honest person, and I prefer to deal with honest people who
don't treat their customers as thieves.  I don't shop in stores that
check your shopping bags on the way out either.  And I know a lot of
people who believe and act the same way.
