AMEN to all of that. I keep wondering what a realistic timeline is for
enough of the TOR-type experiments to succeed before the majority of the Big
Five (HQ already has some non-DRM lines) take note and start following suit.
It's going to be a long, slow road, I'm sure. Indie press turns on a dime.
Conglomerates tend to turn on a railroad turnstyle. But we're SEEING change,
and that's good.

Here's hoping that publisher experiments like the new DRM-free Tor
bookstore will be a huge success, that longstanding DRM-free publishers
will continue to succeed, and that DRM for books will naturally fade away.
