missing fictionwise already as I merge my shelves

So have any of you merged your fictionwise and nook bookshelves yet? What
has your experience been like?
I'm glad I merged shelves, but I really didn't think ahead about how much
work would be involved.
Post-merge, my nook bookshelf has thousands of extra titles on it, most of
which I have already read. The nook shelf can't be searched, but it can be
sorted by author, title, or recency, However, all the fictionwise books are
stored under the date that the shelves merged, not the date that I
purchased them. That means my newer nook books are buried way down in the
library no matter how I sort them.
I decided to move most of the books to my archive. Unfortunately, archiving
books requires titles to be moved one at a time. From "my nook library" in
the bn store: Click on the book title. Click "archive." Wait for the screen
to display a "moved to archive" popup. Close the popup. Wait for the screen
to refresh. Click the next title. etc.
Once I got impatient and clicked the next book without waiting for a
refresh--mistake! I accidentally clicked the wrong book, and it was a bit
of a project to find it again and unarchive it.
At some point, I decided to try using the "nook for PC" software instead of
the store/library interface, thinking maybe it would work faster. Not only
was the process just as tedious, but books I had previously archived in the
www store's "my nook library" *still* synced to the "nook for PC" library,
and are waiting there to be archived all over again. One at a time.
I'm afraid to sync my mobile devices until I get the www store bookshelf
cleaned up. Here's hoping that we don't need to go through the archive
process on every single device.
I suppose I could go through the titles and open the books I have yet to
read, putting them at the top of the "recent" list, but that would be a
time-consuming process too . . . plus then none of the books will be marked
"new," and I suspect it would slow down future syncs.
Another discovery: all my "star" ratings are missing, which is not
surprising, but it is disappointing. I used reader ratings to help me
choose what to buy AND to help me find titles in my own library to
recommend to others. (The BN website usually gives me error messages when
I try to rate/review books there. I wrote them months ago about it, but
this problem must be really hard to fix.)
Has anyone found an easier way to manage the merge?
Beth
