Chloe, There's no definitive answer. The previous interactive is pdf; this has long had a reader capability - but on desktop and laptop, maybe tablet now. Epub3 is based on html5/css3. Frankly, I don't think there is much able to read it in the way of reader devices. The post-2008 readers are a maturing market, and not a great deal of it will yet have the versions incorporating the latest software and necessary hardware. Is there a market? It depends what you aim to serve. Interactive is format, not a type or genre. For How To books it could be ideal. For entertainment it will sit between the book and the video and film. For courses too it has merit. So long as you are clear about his being an opening market, not yet big one, then working on it should pay off a few years down the road.
