Re: Advisability of doing an e-book in Word

E-boks have been produced in all sorts of packages, including Word, TeX,
InDesign, iBooks Author, on-line suites and dozens of others packages.

In fact, it is easily to believe that MOST ebooks in the world started
their production in MS Word.

The most suitable workflow for you book depends on the peculiarities of the
book itself -- figures, tables, dynamic content, automatic indexation...
and a host of other features...as well as you requirements and output
formats.
