Why the Pallente events matter to you

I'm not sorry to be going on about this, because the signs that your
future is at stake are strong. In a further article The Trichordist
looks at the links between the people involved, and
*copyright-destructive actions taken by Google and Amazon* in a
suspiciously co-ordinated-looking timing.

The article -
https://thetrichordist.com/2016/10/24/6-reasons-the-removal-of-the-register-of-copyrights-by-new-soros-backed-librarian-of-congress-should-terrify-creators/
- is divided into parts.

1. The new Librarian has very strong connections to Soros, who backs
anti-copyright organisations.
2. Pallente's move is an obvious demotion, and removal from obstructing
anti-copyright moves.
3. The anouncement was released to be overlooked, timing it late on
"take out the trash day".
4. Pallente has opposed actions by Google/Public Knowledge in the
copyright-destroying
100% licensing rule for songwriters, which would unconstitutionally
interfere with private contracts and lead to licensing chaos (A federal
judge subsequently agreed with Pallente).
This attack on Pallente underlines the Google involvement
https://www.publicknowledge.org/documents/captured-systemic-bias-at-the-u.s.-copyright-office-1
5. The timing of a supposed book review, really an attack on Pallente,
is "Orwellian".
http://www.nybooks.com/articles/2016/10/27/new-hillary-library/
6. "Follow the money", says the article, and specifies "Around the time
the new Librarian of Congress was sworn in, Google and Amazon started
filing millions of compulsory licenses for songs, using a process that
should only be reserved for "address unknown" works. ... Do you think
Google really couldn't find the publisher for the entire Beach Boys
catalogue? Or Porgy and Bess? "

This is a matter of considerable concern. Please consider whether you
can take action to raise interest in this, or to be active in opposing
these moves. Read this article - though it is not short.

  Joseph Harris
